Hello, my name is Henry. Thank you for visiting our website.

The reason for this venture has been numerous. I know how difficult it is to get reliable and honest tradespeople. Obviously, there are many good tradespeople out there, but it can be a lottery finding them. It's a worrying time letting strangers into your property or a parent's property.

My aim is to provide superb service and respect for clients and property at a reasonable price. You will be told the price before we start. If there are any concerns about the job and what issues there might be, we will discuss them beforehand. I will NEVER push for a hard sell. You decide if and when you want the job done, and only then we decide together when that happens.

• Custom-made furniture: Whether you're looking for a new bookcase, repairing a dining table, Getting a cupboard cut down to fit a specific space or make one from scratch. I can repair or make a bespoke garden bench, I can create a unique piece of garden furniture that perfectly suits your needs.

• Home improvement: From installing new flooring to painting your walls, I can help you transform your home.

• Have you had an appliance delivered from an internet site and need it fitting?  Maybe it's integrated and the new door holes don't line up with the new machine! I can sort that.

• I can build all the flats pack you buy and bespoke fit them to take into account for skirting boards, pipes and cables etc.  I can dismantle the old cupboards or furniture if need be.

• Garden maintenance: I can take care of all your garden needs, from mowing the lawn to pruning small trees, to making custom garden planters or new fencing or repairs. Your gardener maybe off for a couple of weeks I can fill in etc.   

• Henry's Hammer is a fully insured business  based in Oxted, Surrey, specialising in woodwork, home improvement, and garden maintenance services. I have years of experience doing DIY, small and large. I am a trustworthy and skilled craftsman who can transform your home and garden into something you have wanted but don't have the skill or time to do. Please look at the numerous jobs I have done, and you will see I have an attention to detail and a pride in my work.

 

JOBS I CAN'T DO

​My role is to do some jobs that some trades are too busy to do at times or don't have time for. Please be aware that some jobs will always be best for qualified tradespeople to do, and I'm NOT a replacement for them.

I can also suggest trades such as landscapers, roofers, electricians, plumbers that I know personally and are highly respected in their specialised trades. I can recommend and vouch for them as individuals and to the quality of their work, hopefully taking the fear out of using someone new.
